Fact of the Day
In Brazilian Portuguese, an R is pronounced as an H, and all words must end with a wowel-sound. This has some rather funny consequences, especially when it comes to English words. Rock (like in rock music) is pronounced "hockey", and hip hop is pronounced "hip'py hop'py". Cute. :-)

Itacaré
I've moved on from Salvador to the beautiful beach town Itacaré. The trip is supposed to be about 6 hours, but due to some bus confusions, it took me about 24... Spent the night in the very off-the-beaten-track town of Ubaitaba. Very authentic. Itacaré is amazing, definitely giving Ilha Grande a close run for the Best Beach title. My pousada (two floors, with a view of the Atlantic Ocean) costs 10 Real (= 20 kroner), a nice meal is 5 Real and a (ridiculously large) beer, about 2. I might want to stay here for a while. :-)
