A fabulous breakfast
We've just ended our fat-and-protein diet, so now it's time to load carbohydrates.
To celebrate, we had a great breakfast with toast, jam, syrup, fruit yogurt, "koldskål" and cappucino.
Never before has syrup tasted so sweet.

The thrill of destruction

Yesterday, I got a mail from my German friend Arnold. He had taken photos of the demolition of a huge gas silo. He describes the events quite beautifully:
"Gestern war hier groß was los. Der Blick vom Dach ist nicht mehr der gleiche. Ein Gasometer wurde gesprengt. Es war wie auf Großwildjagt. Erst stand er da und guckte. Dann das Jagdsignal und nocheinmal das Horn. Dan Bum und Wum. Das Dach segelte als Ufo davon. Dann kam er zu uns heran, beugte sich vor, gab den Blick in sein Innerstes frei und zeriss in zwei Teile. Jetzt liegt er da und sieht ein wenig so aus wie der Gehry in Bilbao."
