The history of the frisbee
The first frisbees ever were thrown by well fed American college students.
Well fed because what they were throwing were empty pie tins from the Frisbie Baking Company - hence the name.
Taking advantage of the 1950s UFO mystery wave, W. F. Morrison patented the first plastic frisbee, called the Pluto Platter.
